Minding my own business when bam! 96/97 tbird front end grafted onto an early 90’s Mercury cougar. Very strange redneck town sighting.

I recently fund a Mercury Capri with a 1990 Mustang GT front clip, and side skirts. I’m guessing they couldn’t get the rear bumper to fit tho, or hadn’t found one yet. Personally I think it’s a downgrade from the original body work, but the flares look cool on a mustang I guess.

found it!

That is strange. I’ve always been partial to the Cougar grill over the Bird, I’m curious to see what it would look like the other way around.

And then there is this: modern T-Bird / Cougar with 1949 Ford front and rear clips. There are always a few of these at GoodGuys type meets. Seeing them from directly in front or back, the illusion is pretty good. From the side, not so much.
